Volunteer at the ReStore
Volunteering at the Habitat ReStore is a great opportunity to engage in Habitat's mission and learn new skills! ReStore volunteers directly help raise funds to support local families building strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. We have opportunities for individuals and groups.
ReStore volunteers typically assist with activities such as:
Managing and merchandising inventory
Assisting with donation acceptance and drop-offs
Assisting customers with purchases
We are excited to share that we have a new volunteer scheduling system, Bloomerang Volunteer. Through it, you can make a profile and manage your shifts at the ReStore. Let us know if you have any questions or challenges signing up!
“I started volunteering at the ReStore because I wanted to make a small contribution to ‘healing the world.”
— Ken R., ReStore Volunteer
Do you have a special skills or talent you would like to share with the ReStore? We’re always looking for volunteers to share their talents, including:
Photography
Answering phones
Creating displays
Restoring or upcycling furniture
Researching donations
ReStore volunteer opportunities consist of a variety of 4 and 8 hour shifts with a 4-hour minimum “Stay and Assist” policy in effect. ReStore Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and we require parental consent for individuals aged 16-17.
Student volunteers
Give your brain a break from all that studying and give back to the local community by signing up for a regular shift at the ReStore. For as little as four hours a week, you can make a huge difference.
