Volunteer Opportunities with Habitat: Construction and ReStore Days

Join us for Habitat for Humanity Capital District's Community Volunteer Days this January, as we work together to make a lasting impact in our community! Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a returning volunteer, there’s no better way to start the new year than by giving back. No prior experience is necessary – our team will guide you every step of the way. Both days listed below are great opportunities to learn new skills while directly contributing to the construction of a homes in your community. Sign up for one day—or both! Volunteers who attend both days will receive a special Habitat for Humanity swag bag as a thank-you!

Volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate.

Volunteers will be helping with insulation installation at a Habitat build site. Insulation is crucial for creating energy-efficient, comfortable homes.

ReStore volunteers play a vital role in sorting and processing exciting donations, ensuring each item finds a new home. They also provide customer service, creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the door!

Saturday, January 18th – ReStore Day

Help us at Habitat’s ReStore, where your time will directly support our mission to build affordable homes.

Task: Donation processing and customer support

Time: 9AM-1PM

Location: 71 Fuller Road, Albany NY
